Katipult Launches New Compliant Software Solutions for Real Estate Crowdfunding in the US, Canada, and UK

Katipult had been largely focused on Regulation D (Reg D) offerings including 506c and 506b, and Reg A+ in 2015 for US markets. Now, it has opened its service up in some of the world's hot property markets for foreign and domestic investors alike.

Real estate crowdfunding software provider Katipult has announced its aggressively purusing international opportunities outside of the United States including the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, and Canada. These new markets establish Katipult’s global footprint to more than 20 countries, as the global real estate sector moves towards transacting real estate investments online with new securities regulations for crowdfunding.

While the term crowdfunding is often associated with startups, established players in private capital markets are increasingly leveraging the same concept to offer institutional quality, asset-backed investment opportunities to investors seeking moderate yields in sectors with less risk. The real estate sector has been an early adopter for crowdfunding technology and has rapidly validated the model.

"The reality is most investment firms have a technology gap within their operation and require a trusted software partner to guide them through this dynamic environment."

Brock Murray, CEO

The announcement came at a private investor event facilitated by the Global Fintech Group where the company had expected to reveal its long-awaited product roll-out for Title III regulations in the United States under the JOBs Act. Katipult had been largely focused on Regulation D (Reg D) offerings including 506c and 506b, and Reg A+ in 2015 for US markets. Now, it has opened its service up in some of the world’s hot property markets for foreign and domestic investors alike.

We are the only solution in the market that can truly adapt to the unique requirements regulators permit from country to country. “The ability to localize our investment crowdfunding software for language, currency, banking and escrow, compliance, and business culture provides an unparalleled adaptability yet to be seen in the industry.”

There has been plenty of discussion how regulations in the United States for crowdfunding would ripple globally. The United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and many others seem poised to follow suit.

While the US remains Katipult’s main market, the company will use its international presence to assist its North American client base to better tap into the global investor pool, while migrating best practices between markets. “The reality is most investment firms have a technology gap within their operation and require a trusted software partner to guide them through this dynamic environment.”
